Weird Top 5
Top 5 Favorite Russian/ Eastern European Pieces
1. Scherezade- Rimsky- Korsakov
2. Rusalka - Dvorak (Specifically Song of the Moon... SOOOOO GORGEOUS)
3. Rite of Spring- Stravinsky
4. Sonata in D Major- Prokofiev
5. Alexander Nevsky- Prokofiev
Disqualified- Pictures at an Exhibition because it was orchestrated by a Frenchman. Modest shouldn't have been so fucking lazy or else it would probably have a different sound attached to it. Ravel did a great job, but it makes it part French.
I haven't done one of these in a while, and I find myself listening to so many Russian/ Central and Eastern European pieces that I felt the need to make a top 5.
