How am I? ... I'm great :)

I've been busier this last semester than I had expected, although I'm very happy that despite the fact that school has required very little effort on my part so far, I'm able to work hard and get things done when neccesary.

My world lit class was way more difficult than it should have been for a general education class. After all the work I put into that class, I was still afraid that I'd make a C or D in it b/c of her insane tests. In light of that, I was both releived and angry that I ended up with a B in the class. Why angry you ask. Because all my classmates that I could talk to all received B's in the course too, which pisses me off in that I could have just slacked and gotten the same damn grade. In my other classes - Project Management, Programming 2, and Calculus - I got a B, A, and A respectively. I'm very happy with those grades b/c Project Management was the kind of class where I don't know my standing until the very end since it's centered around a semester project. Programming was never particularly hard, just a few occations where it takes a few days to wrap my head around a particularly abstract concept, so getting an A wasn't a surprise. Calculus was a repeat class from high school for me, so again getting an A wasn't a surprise, although I had to attend class b/c I needed the brushup. In the end, I now have a 3.37 GPA which puts me further out of harms way of losing HOPE.

Getting a job is a big priority of mine right now, and I've applied to two Papa John's in this area so far. At first I called up my old Papa John's in Duluth b/c my manager there said he'd definitely hire me again this summer, but when I called them, it turns out that he doesn't work there anymore. Crap. So rather than trying to get hired there and work for a new manager with a 45 min drive, I'd rather just work on this side of town. Figured it can't be too hard getting a job with my experience. Right now I'm waiting on the 2nd place to look at my app over the weekend and I'll talk the the manager on monday. The first place I went to didn't need any new drivers, even tho I'd prefer to work over there b/c of their location.

I guess you could say I've been "seeing" this girl that lives in my dorm complex. I met her at a party about a month ago. Some drama has happened involving her which I prefer not to get into, but as of right now, we're not an item yet, not officially, but for all monogomous purposes we are. It's been fun hanging out with her and her friends, tho sometimes I think she likes me alot more than I like her, so I'm not sure where that's gonna take us, but I'm just enjoying the ride for now.

I've been occupying myself with World of Warcraft for the last couple of months, got accepted into a guild a while ago and have been quickly promoted to Reaper, which is the 2nd highest rank in the guild next to guild leader. I'm glad I'm getting a group of online friends again, it feels good after playing FFXI with a group of people that I can literally call family now after all we've been through.

Everyone needs to see these movies:

Batman Begins
We Don't Live Here Anymore
A Hole in One
Nobody Knows (Daremo Shiranai)
House of D
The Man Who Copied
Crash
