Ahaha! I actually loved the ep. :D Possibly because I expected to hate it, but there you go. *g*
I'm torn about the trip, because, yes, Morgana being evil made it so painful (both in the emotional and the WTF sense), but then I thought the A, M & G bits were particularly adorable, so I'm counting it as a win.
In the case of A/G, I'm actually glad nothing stood out, because they're usually trying to hit us over the head with how OMGinlove they are, while this felt more realistic, to me. As for A/M, I'm just really, really glad they're continuing in their trend of the boys being adorable - I didn't really like their relationship in ep 1 & 2, and that's three episodes running that I did like it, so I'm counting it as a win, too. *g*
I think your opinion of Morgana is pretty much that of 90% of fandom. Or it might just be me, but yeah, exactly. S2 shone with its lack of explanation for A/G, which I think they're slowly fixing in S3, and S3 is shining with its wtf at Morgana's ebilness. Who knows, maybe they'll explain in S4? ;P I think there's something about Morgana losing her mind in some of the legends, so my personal canon is that she's suffering from mental disease. Not that that's a fun idea, or anything, but it might explain it. Then again, when it comes to S3!Morgana, I'm usually thinking "wtf it makes no sense for her not to care", but then she has a scene with Merlin and it's at least partially countered by "um, but you guys do look hot fighting, please do that again!" ;D
