Tiring weekend

Woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat. But it went away after being up for a bit. Got to the bank, and all was going well until 5 of noon (we close at noon). Guy comes in, wants to wire money. That's okay, even though wires take quite a while. I look at the paper he has with him, but I can't read his chicken scratch writing. He re-writes it out for me (it is now past closing time). I look it over, and he's missing some bits of information. I tell him this, and let him know what we need to send the wire. He says, "Oh, I'll call," and walks away out into the lobby before I can say anything. I'm getting pissed, because I'm supposed to be at work at the vet at one, and now I know I'm going to be late.

I call the vet, and let them know I will be late. Then, since the guy is still on the phone in the lobby, and I can't balance anything yet, one of my managers went out and basically kicked him out. (We cannot have customers in the bank any later than 15 minutes beyond when we lock the door.) She told him that wires don't get sent on the weekends anyway, so come back monday with all the info.

Work at CVH wasn't too bad yesterday, was uneventful. Went to Circuit City, then to On The Border with Cat after work so she could get her new camera and I could check out the one I may be getting. Thank goodness for an extra hour of sleep this morning.

Worked at CVH again today, and it was very exhausting. Aggravations with receptionists not getting info/forms that are needed, people picking up pets early then expecting us to trim nails/clean ears/bath right then, because "it's okay, we'll wait." People, we tell you we do these things the night before the animal is scheduled to go home. If you are going to pick up early, call us and tell us (more than 10 minutes in advance, please!) It just makes it so hectic.

Spent an hour and a half with a hit-by-car dog. She was very good and sweet, but in a whole bunch of pain. She was lucky, though. Only a broken leg. Hurt her so bad when the doc splinted it. I felt so bad for her and her owners, but she'll be okay.

That freakin' aggressive boxer needs to GO HOME! He figured out how to open the food door (this dog is so aggressive we cannot let him out of his run, and must use a little door within the door to feed/water him) and stuck his whole head out into the hallway. Found bungee cord to tie the door shut. And, Zeke (Great Dane) needs to go back into the oversize run. I never again want to deal with his diarrhea, especially when he's in a regular run and LAYS DOWN IN IT. Plus, due to wounds, couldn't bath him, so I had to use wet towels and waterless shampoo to TRY to get him clean. Ended up hosing his feet outside. He was not a happy dog. I came home soaking wet, with shit all over me. Clothes went straight into the wash, and I straight into the shower. I swear I can still smell it...
