I've been spending a heck of a lot of time this evening combing through RetroJunk.com, a fan-maintained site for retro TV shows and cartoons, from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Being born in '75, I was more of a child of the 80s, and I went on a trip down memory lane on very early 80s cartoons -- things I used to watch on TV when I was 5-10 years old. Raise your hand if you've seen things like
Shirt Tales or
The Get Along Gang. Raise both hands if you saw them when they were first-run on broadcast TV. :)
Here's an episode from the latter:

Y'know, both of these shows came from successfull greeting card ventures, the former from Hallmark and the latter from American Greetings. They also came during a time that censors were really on networks to keep shows clean and promote "team" messages. If only we had messages like that these days. Ah, sweet nostalgia.
