YAY! Melissa from Best Buy called me again to touch base. She asked if I was still interested in the job, I said "yes I am" and then she told me about the plans for the weekend. This Saturday from 9am to 5pm she told me we're going to wear casual stuff and play games. Sounds like my kind of Saturday, sitting around playing games with geeks ^^. I hope they're video games, walking around junk yards all day yesterday to find a mounting bracket for my trucks headlight and then installing new brake shoes on my truck and beginning to replace the engine mounts; non-stop without even a break for food, has left me very tired. I guess I'll find out when I get there. Although getting used to the hours for night school, 9am is kinda early... anyone wanna come drag me out of bed and drive me there? xD
Then sunday we meet at the store from 8AM!! 8 FOCKING AM!!!! That means I'll have to wake up at 7am.. I'm not really a morning person. But I guess I should get used to it if I'm gonna start working there. I just hope I don't have to deal with customers that early. Throughout my ten years of helping people through social networking (I help a guy, he tells his friend about me, I fix his friend's computer and then that friend tells another friend etc.) I've dealt with some pretty strange customers. From the ones that confess they don't know much (I love those people, they're so nice and down to earth) to the people that are too proud to realize the problem is out of their scope (hence why they called me) and demand that what I'm doing is wrong. But I've thankfully dealt with them in the afternoon. I'm not a very cheery person early in the morning, in fact my mom says I just mumble xD. I guess I'll make good use of that 7-11 frequent coffee card I got.
But other than games I don't know what we're going to be doing Sunday. It's probably going to be on the job training and what not. Anyone else gotten a job for ANY bestbuy and knows what you do that weekend? The girl that I talked to worked at the bestbuy in VCC (Virginia Center Commons (a mall) for all non-Virginians). So I guess I'll go and see what happens. I still can't believe I got a job at geek squad! Well actually I still can't believe I got a job doing what I'd do for free if there was a magical way to get food, drink, clothes, and whatever I wanted for free. And since geek squad is allowing me to do that, more power to them. Maybe they'll promote me to the cars soon. Though I don't see how I could do that as a part time job. Maybe as a summer job? Until I get out of college my schedule is stuck. And as much as I love getting paid to work on computers, college is going to come first. I can always get another computer tech job, but college is hard to come back to (that's if they even let you back).
