Have you ever had something that really interested you, so you joined an online club about it?  Then when you join that club, felt completely out of place?

For instance, I joined a programmer's group.  But everyone that posted there was a lot better at programming than me.  I spent most of my time in that group asking how to do something or asking for a better explanation than contributing programs (which is why I signed up in the first place).  I would bet money the people in that group drank, ate, and slept computer programming.  They were doing stuff with computer languages I doubt even the designer of those languages thought was possible.  Then I joined a naruto anime club, and then realized the people in the group were super anime geeks that were overly obsessed with anime.  More so than I was.  Which made me feel out of place, because I was expecting a discussion solely on the one topic.  All the conversations I had were short and usually ended with the person comparing other animes to naruto or talking about other animes I'd never heard about.  I stopped posting in that group a long time ago.

So I'm curious, has anyone else had an experience like that?

Oh, and beware of the legend of zelda: twilight princess.  It's deceptively addictive and there's no such thing as "just play it for a little while then do ____" you'll look over at the clock and realize hours have passed by.
