Damn it.  Tim Kaine is the official governer for Virginia.  He won by more than 100,000 votes.  This loss is one that many people will feel through out the years to come.  He plans on getting rid of the death penalty in Virginia, even for cases were the criminal really deserves it.  He is against abortion also.  He won't try the tax referandum in Virginia, where Virginians vote on the taxes they want to pay(since we friggin pay them).  He would rather decisions on what taxes virginians pay be left up to some rich governer who is deciding on how he gets paid.

I've got to say that this blow has really made me start to believe the nay sayers that say voting doesn't matter.  But I believe that's just the part of me that has had my pride broken.  My first election, my candidate was picked, my second election; my candidate wasn't.  My first election I was more advid about getting people out to vote.  This year I tried getting my parents out to vote and failed.  All of my friends said they tried getting absentee ballots and failed.  I guess I now know how people felt when Kerry lost the presidential election.  My only hope is that the Lt.  Governer will somehow effect the decisions that governer Kaine has.  Unless some freak accident could occur.  lol, only kidding.  Half of Virginia has spoken, and they want Kaine.  ...I guess that's what urks me more.  What if the other half had their voice heard.  True, 2 million people is a large number, but that's only HALF of the story.  I wish they would make a law where if you didn't have at least 85% of a voter turnout, then you had to redo elections.  And to make sure people turned out, they'd give out free hamburgers or something else that people like.  Hell, I'd even agree with internet voting, so the lazy people could sit on their asses and vote from home.  There would be no real excuse for them then.  Please people, for the love of God and all that is holy, VOTE!  Heh, even the most important election of our lives as Americans only turned out a little over half of voters.  I wonder how many will turn out and vote if it's ever proposed "Will you give up the right to vote and let big brother decide how you should live your life?".  Let's just hope that the small number of people, like myself, that turn out vote against the proposal.  We might vote for it out of spite though.

Congratulations to all Kaine supporters out there.  Your choice for governer has won.  Let's see what happens in the future, maybe you'll regret your choice maybe you'll rejoyce.  But don't expect me to not bitch about the person I voted for losing.
