We had a production meeting for How I Learned to Drive this morning at Golden Roast. I still can't decide how I feel about this show. I don't like movies/tv shows/plays that deal with an "issue." It's the main reason I don't like Steel Magnolias. It's designed to "raise awareness" or some shit like that. In this case the issue is sexual abuse. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making light of it. I just think it's insulting that some playwright thought we needed a play to remind us.
