Snowboarding is fun yet frustrating, exhilarating yet tiring. I just wish I was better at it. It's such a mental thing, because one minute I feel in control and like I'm progressing, and the next I'm sliding around and just want to quit. I just have to stick with it. And I have to remind myself that being up in the mountains is always good, no matter how crappy I may be at sliding down them on a piece of metal (or whatever it's made out of). It sounds pretty silly when you put it like that, actually. Note to self: don't sweat the small stuff. And as always, it was great to be able to hang out with Sidra for a little while during our crazy lives.
I admit it: I'm a lazy-ass. I say I'll swim every day, but I've been once in 12 days. Over Break I always plan to go out and do all of these things, pick up a new hobby, read books, sleep lots...and it seems that none of the above ever get done. There are definitely bright spots, but for the most part I feel like I'm just wasting time. I really am excited to get out of here. It's so stupid that I want to be surrounded by completely new people, because there are countless ones right here that I've never met - but it seems like a lost cause most of the time. I NEED A CHANGE. But I don't have the balls (sorry, I like that expression) to dye my hair, or learn to play the guitar, or be more outgoing/aggressive. Someday, I might.
I'm hungry.
