Rumors from Cassidy
I see that Kyle Cassidy over at blog.kylecassidy.com has slipped in a rumor that I have injured myself while doin' the Evel Knievel. Let us put this to rest before it spreads. I was not on a motorcycle. I did not jump a Winnebago. Or the Grand Canyon (except maybe for the bonehead one that seems to have shown up in Iowa in time for the next Star Trek movie so that young pinhead Tiberius can drive his vintage 'vette off it). I am however chewing the pain killers and packing the ice for what is turning, slowly and steadily, from a pinched nerve somewhere in the trapezius into maybe a tear in the shoulder. All I know for certain at this moment is that I'm looking for volunteers to gnaw my arm off. Zombies need not apply--we know you guys will say, "Oh, me!" and then go straight for the brains. Yeah yeah. Pull the other one.
Tomorrow I'll have to meet with the Liars Club of Philadelphia with ice pack safely upon the painful area. And I know that Jon McGoran's going to look at it and say something like "You know, I'm a very good surgeon, I could help you with that hump." You can see already where this is leading...
