Slaving away and some other things~
Ar yes~
Yesterday was another animania meeting, I had every intention of being on time or early for that. I even called sakura for the time that the meeting starts, she said 10:30am *pokes sakura* so i got to the place at 10:20 with 10 whole mins to spare. Walking in i didn't see anyone around that looked like volunteers so i sat around for a few mins kinda confused, good thing one of the coords came out and guess what she told me, the meeting started at 10 sharp >.>; *pokes sakura again* Lol
At least, i was "relatively* earlier than my last attempt the week before. The email said 10am, i read 10:30am, arrived at uts at 10:40, couldn't see any volunteers around, wandered to the security area and she gave me the room number where the animania meeting was "supposively" conducted (she directed me to the wrong room >.>;;;), wandered around some more, eventually found them in a lecture room at 11am - the meeting ends at 11:30 *laughs* so basically i was late a whole hour in an one and a half hour meeting. *sigh*
Anyways, back to the meeting yesterday. The main point of the whole meeting was to fill showbags, so we gave up the morning of our saturday to fill plastic bags with paper. Slave labour in the name of anime! ;.;
What a great life~ So we all seperated into groups and started making showbags, there were two girls that were quite talkative and pretty much putting on some slap-stick humour. There wasn't much space since we were placed at the far top left corner of the lecture room, the poor guy that was with us didn't even have enough room to sit down -too tall. We had a heck of a lot of resource, stacks and stacks of papers, it was funny when the showbags which are supposed to hold 5 items eventually turned into 2 items. The resources were short >.> Poor ppl who gets these showbags =p
After the meeting, I wandered to sushi train with Sinney (one of the volunteers) and then Kinokuniya. I was hoping that there would be Bleach vol 4 there, but *sigh* it hasn't arrived yet... and i couldn't even see where all the volume 3 went~ *eep* I stayed at kinokuniya for maybe an hour or two and then met up with my sis for some gloria jeans beverage and then home (that was around 6pm).
Since Henry said that he'll take me to the movies in holidays but he got kinda sick and had to postpone it til yesterday, he picked me up at around 7 and we went to the cinemas. I wanted to watch shark tales but they weren't showing, we didn't know what to watch and Henry didn't care what movie we watched (he was starving) so i went to ask what kind of movie "collateral" was, the ticket staff said that it involved the main chara killing people and more ppl getting killed. So i was like... hmmn... that should keep ppl awake since it should be full of action. So we bought 2 tickets for that. The movie didn't start til 8:40 so we had around an hour to waste. We went back out to the car and drove to find some place that was good to dine in... (there was of course maccas near the cinemas but maccas for dinner sounded infinitely crap) but then the car park's lower exit was closed so we had to back track to the other exit, we spotted a wood-fried pizza place but we couldn't turn in so we followed the road onwards. The road split into 3 directions, they all seemed liked main roads that didn't have smaller streets. When we eventually were able to turn back we had around half an hour left, which would most probably leave us late for the movies. So the inevitable had to happen, we went back to the cinemas and got awful maccas *sigh* everything was so dry, after 3 or 4 pieces of fries i tossed the maccas in the bin. The only things that were opened in the shopping centre were the cinemas, maccas, woolworths, subway and that cake shop. We had 10 more minutes before the movie started so i thought i might as well buy a bottle of water so off i went to woolies. One big mistake *sigh* it took me almost ten minutes to buy a bloody bottle of water *kicks* and i was in the express line too (well hand baskets line blah), that cashier should have been sacked, so slow and she also looked dead >.> What happened to quality customer service -_-;
In the end, we watched the movie, boring start, some funny lines exchanged, idea was pretty interesting and hmmn... just another movie for me. Maybe i should have chosen "you got served" though i don't know if that movie was any good *shrugs* Got home around 11:30pm and dled some more Gokusen.
Guess yesterday was a little more eventful than usual.
Well lets get to today. Started off the morning with finishing Laurell K. Hamilton's 11th book of the "Anita Blake" series that pretty much brought me to 12 pm. Then i got on with some accounting work, *shakes head* i still can't figure out those 2 questions *sigh* i'm a few hundred off one of the questions. Next i started reading Gokusen, I had dled a few chaps a few months back but i didn't really like the art and also i thought it was kinda like GTO so i didn't read it, but then i didn't have anything to dl so i basically dled whatever ushi had on http and tried it out. The story in actuality is pretty alright, currently on the 2nd volume. ^^ Though i want more Parfait tic releases~ *nods*
Anyways, i think i'll end it right here for now. A few more thoughts before the quizzes and tests that will grace this entry:
