1. Del Amitri - "Driving With the Brakes On"
This song makes me cry, and I can't really tell you why. It's all acoustic-like, and the singer pulls it off beautifully.
2. Karl Wilson - "Runaway Days"
Not the best singer out there, but the lyrics rattle around my head and inspire me and stuff. Also, this singer? He wants you to download his songs for free.
3. Kevin Gilbert - "The Tears of Aubrey"
I would never have come across this song if not for pandora.com (the same for the two above, also, and the one below), and it's not my usual taste, but once again, the lyrics are all catchy.
4. Todd Thibaud - "Isn't Love My Friend?"
The chorus sticks in my head. Not inspiring, not all my usual taste, but he sings it well, and it sticks around.
5. Creedence Clearwater Revival - "Cottonfields"
Because my father has indoctrinated me with a fannish love for CCR for years. I probably know the lyrics to all of their songs better than I know the songs from last year. And "Cottonfields"? Totally the country-swingin'-Rock-n'-Roll number one, man.
6. Switchfoot - "Meant to Live"
Someone pointed me to youtube.com and a Naruto AMV (Anime Music Video) and pure love at first sight.
7. Vertical Horizon - "Shackled"
Same as above. And that AMV? That was the smoothest, sweetest bit of video-editing I've seen in a long time of watching AMVs.
I'm not tagging anyone (since my friends-list is like six people long, and all of them have been tagged already), but do have fun with this.
