Saturday: Save the Tatas, etc.

The computer repair place is closed today, so I haven't inquired about whether or not thy can replace/repair my network card. The external hard drive I bought online turns out to be an internal hard drive. I'm going to keep it in case anyone needs a hard drive.

I'm at the library, and I can't find the CD that's supposed to be on hold for me. It's okay, though, the library staff knows me by now and I can ask them without being awkward. I started The Tale of Genji but just returned it mostly unread because it's really long, really sexist, and man, reading about all that sex just tires me.

I'm going to a concert later and then out for drinks with a guy in the choir, which I wasn't thinking was a date when I agreed to it, but I suspect he might disagree. We'll see how that goes.

I heard what might have been a gunshot or a car backfiring on my way here, and I'm avoiding going back outside.

There's a breast cancer walk going on that covers some of the way between my apartment and here, and I got caught up in cheering people. I would have said, "no, I'm just walking. Look, I'm not even wearing any pink," but they all seemed so excited that I just avoided eye contact and kept going.

That's all I've got.
