I was considering relocating to Georgia, the Carolinas, or maybe Florida... They have pleasant weather and affordable housing prices. I mean I like New York but the rents are out of touch with what people can afford and still have money left over for food and bills. The weather can be annoying too...
Currently all the places I was considering are becoming anti-choice. I'm not pro-abortion, I am however pro-choice. There are many reasons why someone might not want to continue their pregnancy and it's not my business. I will most likely never have to worry about running afoul of these laws as I am 49 and even when trying to get pregnant I was unable to, so the chances of it happening by accident now are slim to none. I just don't want to support the politics behind these laws. They don't even address that men are involved in pregnancy... 100% of all pregnancies begin with some man ejaculating so they are involved.
So do I move and support the women there or do I try to find a place in a sane state and hope that when this goes through the system saner heads at higher levels prevail?
In all of this I have actually considered moving back to Pennsylvania. It's affordable, Pittsburgh is an interesting city with cool stuff going on, and I still have friends there. It's just too close to Ohio for my comfort...
