In the past I've un-followed people and kept them as friends as I know not everyone always agrees on everything. Is it wrong to do this to family? Because OMG I can't unfriend a cousin as much as I want to. His misogynistic, sexist, women are meant to be subservient bullshit is getting to me. I disagree completely with 98% of my family on political things (they are mostly Trump is godlike in opinion) and I can usually just ignore it. Between his political, anti-feminist, anti-intellectual, anti-anyone that isn't white crap I'd like to just remove him but family is family... so I think un-following is the best choice... I've had enough stress this summer starting a family fight where I would be on the unpopular side might not be a good idea.
Doing my doctorate in Europe is looking better all the time, not only is there where the cutting edge research in my field is happening but it would remove a large portion of the family drama... seeing some of theses people at family gatherings is stressful...
