It's been a while..
Good stuff first, my oldest Nephew graduated Navy boot camp yesterday and from the pics my sister sent he looks cute in uniform.
I got around to watching Thor, The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World over the weekend and I find I'm a totally Loki girl... it's always the bad/insane ones for me... LOL....
I finally got my storage until organized and sorted out enough that I can empty it into my spare room and get that taken care of. There is a lot of stuff that belongs to a friend that I need to get back to her but I know it won't all fit into my car so I may have to make a couple of trips.
I'm going up to NY to visit the weekend of my birthday as it's mom's too and I'm planning on getting the driver's license sorted out and getting my self a bank account. I tried doing it on line but it seems they have an issue with some of my info and I'm going to have to go in to the office to fix it so I hope I can get in and out of DMV quickly as I only have so much time to get to the bank too. I should have taken more and as it is I doubt I'm going to get paid for all the time they owe me.
I'm slowly packing the non-essential stuff and my apartment looks so empty without the books, dvd's and stuffed animals. In the great cleaning effort I think I ended up donating almost a dozen boxes of books, several bags of clothing and winter gear that not longer fit anyway and a lot of miscellaneous household items like the extra cookware and utensils. I really hope that someone can get a use out of it that really needs it.
This weekend it's supposed to be warm so I may take the chance to get everything shifted so I can sort/purge more and get it all ready for the truck when I get it rented.
I finished all the doctor related stuff other than waiting for blood test results, it seems my blood pressure is a bit low but I'm guessing it's not too low since neither doctor gave it too much thought and my temp has been running a bit low too which is odd but nothing to freak out over.
Job Stuff:
I gave notice at my job about a week and a half ago, J was upset but knew that I wasn't happy and told me I had to follow my heart and he gave me a hug and volunteered to tell everyone else. When C found out she didn't speak to me for 3 days beyond what she had too for work. I gave them almost 2 months to find someone else and this past week has been a mess with J doing interviews, me doing my work plus his and C and her hot and cold attitude and finding a way to shuffle as much onto my desk as she can and then in the midst of all this I get a nice shiny new project on behalf of the local Fire Department. I did up the rooster and mailing labels for them last week and this week it's a flyer and a few other things in preparation for a party they are having. It never ends... it's like the more I do the more the pile grows, I feel like they are trying to get the as much out of me as they can before I leave.
I've been looking over the resumes and applications we are getting and I think that J & C are going to be shocked when they see that almost everyone that is qualified for the job lists their salary requirements at 5k more than what I was being paid and really I know I've been under paid for a long time but until recently I was fine with that because the work environment was extremely pleasant and I really enjoyed being there. I don't think they realize that even the checker at Aldi's and the guy managing the video store were making more than I did.
In some ways I'm going to miss them and the job and in some ways I can't wait to get free. We'll see how it goes I guess...
With all this going on I did have to pull back from some of the fan fic stuff I had planned but I'll get back to it when things settle and I am working on another original story, we'll see how everything comes together.
