(no subject)
I feel like I haven't posted in a while, but really, it hasn't been that long.
I went to this sweet student/professor forum on happiness tonight. It was sweet. Two hours of free food and random intellectual discussion. Plus I was sitting right in front of my physics professor, which was funny, cause he's funny, and a total dork. He also kind of organized the whole thing, cause he's awesome like that.
On Wednesday I'm going to a similar free food and student/professor forum also organized by my physics professor about careers in academia. Huzzah!
He's also my advisor.
My roommate and like to joke that I'm having an affair with him. It is pretty much the best thing ever.
He has ridiculous office hours and study sessions, such that I have been in his office or talking to him around 11- midnight on several occasions.
It only gives Alaina more fodder.
I swear there are other people there!!
...except for that once...
Also, we had frisbee sectionals this weekend. We did about as well as we'd expected. We were ranked 6th going into the tournament and by the end were ranked 5th, and since the top 8 go to regionals: WE'RE GOING TO REGIONALS!!! It's the weekend after next, in San Diego. That's the weekend before dead week, so... I've basically already started studying for my Bio Final.
Alaina hurt her ankle on Saturday at the tournament so didn't come on Sunday, and because of homework and just-not-feeling-it-anymore reasons Lena didn't come at all, and I'm pretty sure has basically quit frisbee. It's very sad.
Lena and I are both sick. I have this hideous cough, where I feel like I'm about to die by coughed-up-lung, and my nose doesn't like me and my snot is this weird color and... I think that's enough information. I think Lena has the worse end of the bargain, though, cause she has this aweful sinus headache. Headache's are the worst. Basically any other kind of pain can be dealt with or worked though, but headaches.. gah, suckass.
... I really need Ben Graves to e-mail me back so I can figure out if we're going to meet up in Europe or not.
