As he entered the shop the noise of one of the twins drew his attention and he picked Cassie out of the crowd immediately and came over to join her.
"Wow. You look like a real mother." He shook his head. "I mean, of course you are. But it's very striking."

"How are you managing?" One of the twins regarded him with large eyes, little mouth open slightly in an o. Regulus looked back at the baby, then offered it a smile.

Lucas raised his chubby little hands and made grabby motions towards the young man before her. She giggled a bit. Once Lucas started with the carry-me-commands, he didn't let you set him down till your arms felt like they were falling off. "Pretty well," she answered, blowing her hair out of her face. She flexed her arms. "I have muscles from carrying two infants all the time."
