Facts
☀ Twice in the last ten years, we've had the hottest temperatures on average ever recorded in our planet's history.
☀ The past nine years have all been among the 25 warmest years on record.
☀ Global annual temperatures are now around 1.0 F degrees warmer than they were in 1900, which may not seem like much, but it is.
☀ There's been a 100% increase in the intensity and duration of hurricanes and tropical storms since the 1970s - likely because warmer weather increases the intensity of tropical storms and hurricanes.
☀ According to the U.S. Geological Survey predictions, Glacier National Park will have no glaciers left by the year 2030.
☀ In just the past thirty years, approximately 400,000 square miles of Arctic sea ice have melted - that's the size of TEXAS.
☀ In the past 100 years, sea level has risen 4 - 8 inches.
☀ Losing glaciers reduces the amount of fresh waters that humans have to use.
☀ It has been projected that by the year 2050, 15 - 37% of all plant and animal species could be wiped out by global warming.
☀ The United States, with only four percent of the world’s population, is responsible for 22% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Causes

☀ Plant a tree.

☀ Exercise! Why drive when you've got your feet? Or roller blades? Or a bike? Or, hell, a Razor Scooter?
