SIGH. Another two weeks since I've last updated, no?
Anyway.
Nothing much happened in my life, except:
1. I have been extremely toxic these days.
Work piles up at my workplace. When I first got transferred, I actually got promoted and/or demoted. Promoted in terms of my position, but demoted because I didn't have anything specific that I should be fixated about at work. So then I usually spend the whole day just--yup, you guessed that right, editing wikipedia articles of fail grammar XD. But these days it would seem that all the extra stuff that others could not comply with land in my hands -- which makes me beyond busy, and just pisses me off because the tasks are not in my job description. Seriously.
2. I have a love-hate relationship with facebook and twitter.
I seem to always find time to update in twitter and fb but they're all senseless updates and rants and random quizzesstuff I come across in the internet while I try to 'have fun'. I MISS FANDOM, fufufu.
3. I always, always doze off in front of my laptop (doesn't help that I usually put my laptop on my bed while I'm ninja-ing in fandom working.
See entry number 1 up there. ^^ I hate how becoming an adult leads to less time having fun. :(((( I feel like I'm doing way too much for my age, when I should be out clubbing and whatnot. But then again I can't stand smoke, and I don't like drinking alcohol in public places, so yeah. :x
4. I watched 7 movies (....!) in a span of one week.
... And it's mostly because my friend is the Assistant Culturelle-something in the French Embassy here in my country. :3 We always get VIP seats, and sometimes actually don't leave our seats as we wait for the next movie! :D The French Film Festival here in Manila is just awesome, though I think most of the films I've watched were what everyone perceived to be the most disturbing movies in the Cannes-winning movies lineup. ^^;; But I loved Ridicule and Le Pianiste (... which is actually disturbing. Erotic to a point but very disturbing. But still, plot ftw!), and would never try to watch Flandres again (too much blood, sorry), even if I do appreciate the sketchy presentation of the story. I had wanted to write reviews for the films, but... *points to the first i lol* Still I enjoyed 17 Fois Cecile Cassard even as--
5. I've been ditched by The Past once again.
It doesn't hurt or bother me as much, since in the first place I hadn't put high expectations on him. He just randomly called me as I had been on my way to the cinemas and asked me if I wanted to go and watch a movie (and I told him I was on my way to a movie with my friends, lolol, who we both had as classmates our entire high school life) so he said he'd catch up with us because his car is still in the car wash. After the first movie my friends and I have watched (what can I say, I have a clique of connoisseurs, not exactly people I would go SQUEE SQUEE about boys and make up and relationships XD I think I wouldn't want them in any other way ♥ and that perhaps I'm the most hapless of our little troupe of young critics) he just messaged me about how he can't make it anymore. :x And then I replied:
That's okay! I'm used to it. ;)
... And for some strange reason, I felt smug and satisfied when he didn't reply. >D
6. lau_kun and I found each other again at fb and here at lj
*squeeeeee take me back to the world of Naruto, won't you? :3 I need my 2D guy fixation again XD* But you know, I kind of go back into reading Anime/Manga fanfics but it's not our fandom, Tin-chan, it's actually Gundam Wing AC that I'm reading! *shot*
7. Summer Dramas for 2009 :D
オルトロスの犬 is still my most-anticipated drama of the season, because I really do want to see 滝沢英明 in another drama role after his taiga. I usually hold back and try not to watch dramas with 錦戸亮 in it (... don't kill me fufufu), as evidenced by my utter obstinacy in picking up 流星の絆 (plus, I never really liked 戸田恵理香) and dropping ラスト・フレンズ (even with the amazing that is 上野樹里), the fact that 水川あさみ is in the drama has made me more resolute to try and watch it. :3 Poor 二宮和也, I couldn't even pick up his drama fufufu.
ブザービート is next, since *sigh* I'm still a 山Ｐ fan after all, even if there's 相武紗季 in it, who I don't really find very convincing as an actress, plus I'm not about to speak up for 北川恵子, who I now have a not-so-good image of because of one of my students' story about her. Plus is it just me, or is this somewhat a re-hashed and re-laundered version of 木村拓也's PRIDE? Though I guess the roles are switched this time, with the Pi playing the Aki role in Pride and Keiko playing the Haru role, but then again I just might be playing too much into the player from a company-sponsored team context. ^^; Plus I just recently re-watched PRIDE. XD; And is it just me who found it really funny that after コード・ブルー, ブザービート is full of pink? XD
オトメン is also something I'd like to watch, because there's KYAAAAA 岡田正生! And 華麗なるスパイー, I look forward to the crack! ♥
Yet I am still following 魔女裁判 faithfully (damn, 生田斗真, why are you so gorgeous?!) and アタシンチの男子 still rocks my socks (those who say that 堀北真希 gets the same type of roles over and over again certainly haven't watched her works, lol and sajkldhsajd 向井修, this is certainly a splendid opportunity for you OMG you authentic nerd-hotguy), and am still catching up with THE QUIZ SHOW (Yay 桜井翔 as Oricon Best Actor SQUEEEEEE) and スマイル (it's too sad, fufufu, discounting the fact that 松本旬's tan looks so unnatural and 新垣結衣 has this twisted hero complex vibe I'm getting from her role). Am picking up BOSS after I finish TQS, mostly because I held back when I saw 戸田恵理香's name in the cast, but I love 玉山鉄二 and he's in suits most of the time here, so sue me as I pick the drama up for his sake xP).
8. 生田斗真 and 人間・失格
Two words: MUST WATCH. *fangirl spazzing* Because there's the amazing bouncing TOMA, and because there's 伊勢谷友介! (Closed Note, Honey and Clover Live-Action movie, Casshern) I really liked Iseya Yusuke (and TamaTetsu too, oh my heart) since Casshern but I resented him in Honey and Clover because he played Morita and Morita got to kiss Hagu and Takemoto didn't get the girl and SHO is Takemoto so I be sad because there's 青空ペダル (lol didn't make much sense, didn't it?).
Senpai presence in the movie, as with the appearance of 森田剛's name in the cast list, in my opinion doesn't exactly help much. Though I still found Morita Go amazingly funny in the Gakkou e Ikou eps, he has decent acting skills in COSMIC RESCUE (... see my bias for Maki? XD) and Lunch no Joou, perhaps he'd be a good addition to the cast, if only to 'support' Toma as his senior in JE.

Looking back at what I've written, I must have had a lot of time to post this, no? XD; I should've gone out and gotten myself a life outside of the internet instead, lololololol.
