So here's how things are going for now

Fairly eventful week this past week! Now where should I start?

Luck, skill, who really cares?
Last week, I was a bit on the bored side, so I went out to Disneyland to do some pin trading and just kill some time. After spending a few hours in the sun, I went over to Dave & Busters for some food, a beer, and burn whatever chips that I had left on my card. Then I saw it, they FINALLY had guitar hero III for the 360 in the winner's circle, but there was a small problem, it was 16,000 tickets and I only had 15,790 with 2.2 chips left! So seeing that I was so close, I bought some more chips and got just enough tickets with one more swipe to get my beloved game. Now I really wanted it JUST for the second guitar controller for my Rock Band, but getting GHIII was a very welcome bonus. Then I spent most of the remaining evening playing it... tis what I do when I get new games.

A bloody mess
Okay, so a few days ago, I get a call from my buddy, TJ, that he's down the street from my house at the uptown farmer's market/family festival. He's a phlebotomist at a nearby hospital and was working the blood-mobile for the evening, trying to convince poor saps to donate blood. Well, I really just wanted to see how he was doing, seeing that I haven't had a chance to see him for almost a month. So after a brief chat and a convincing conversation, he got me into the chair for a donation. Seeing that I have a relatively rare blood type, I figured it was for the better. But it was then that I realized a very important life lesson... never let your best friend of 12 years stick you with a needle!!! I think he was a bit nervous that he was taking blood from me, cause he overshot the mark and totally broke my vein. So now I have a two inch bruise on my left arm from the botched procedure, but I'm cool, cause it's a funny story to remember, and I was STILL able to give blood from my other arm and do my duty. I'll be saving someone's life, and that's all that matters.

Wedding Woes
Annie and I went over to an appointment that we had with the floral director at the wedding chapel that we're going to be having our ceremony at so that we can pick out the centerpieces, bouquets, etc. It was good times to see everything falling into place, and see how close it is to this thing actually becoming a reality. But we ran into a wee bit of a problem. We realized that the ceremony is actually at 5, when we put 6 o'clock on all the invites! D'OH!!! Thankfully there was a quick fix for that. The wording on the invites actually doesn't mention anything concrete as in "wedding ceremony at 6", it just says to "join us for celebration at 6"... so that kind worked in our favor, cause that's when the reception is. So Annie got smart and included little schedule cards that show the full day plan for the big day, and totally clarifies when things are happening. So it's aaaaaalll good. Oh and if anyone is still interested in helping out, we're only registered at one place, and you can find it here. If you don't know my last name or the wedding date, then just ask nicely and I'll tell you.

Vegas Baby!!
So as part of my birthday gift to my fiance, we're going to vegas next Tuesday! I understand that she's a little miffed by the fact that she doesn't have a lot of money to spend while we're there, but that's kind of the point! She shouldn't have to spend a lot of money since it's my gift to her, you know? But I know it's still going to be good times. We're going to be seeing a Cirque de Solil show as well, which neither of us have ever done. So I'm really hoping that this trip will be a special one. We both need the time away from life here, and some time just to veg out. And maybe... just maybe, We'll come back with some money!

~*~
Well that's about it for now, I'll be here at work for another... ... 14.5 hours, waiting anxiously for the 10pm hour to be upon us... JOY!
