Horray for busy weekend

What a weekend... and there's a lot to say about what happened through it too... So I'll break it down for your reading convenience, cause there's a lot!

First (and last) time for everything
This Friday, one of Annie's friends was going to celebrate their birthday, and since we both had the night off, it was going to be a fun night out! It was supposed to be at a place called Bobby McGee's, a place I've always known to be a fun family restaraunt that I hadn't been to in years. We were told it was going to be dinner and dancing (cause it's a night club after the restaraunt closes). Well, things didn't turn out that way. We showed up an hour after they told us they were going to leave, not only to be fashonably late, but also cause we didn't want to be there before the birthday girl. Well, the enterage didn't show until about 45 minutes after WE got there. And when they showed up... the birthday girl wasn't with them!! I'm not sure what her reason was, but she came seperately and later than them. We were seriously making plans to go somewhere else cause of the madness (yay Dave and Busters!!), but she showed at the last possible human second, without her ID. Anywho, somehow she miraculously got in, and we went into the very noisy, and hot club.

I honestly don't get it... how does someone pay $10+ for a night in a big room where people get hot, sweaty, horny, and sometimes rude on a big floor where you can't hardly move let alone "dance". I dunno, I never liked the club scene to begin with, and now that I've experineced it for the first time, it's still not something I really want to do again in the future. We left early (about 1) and headed home...

No Ma'am!
Ed O'Neal (aka Al Bundy) was in our restaraunt this past week. That is all!

Don't be mad! It's not my fault!
Okay, so the past few nights at work have been alright. The money has been good and I haven't been getting overly stressed. But there's something that's happened 3 out of the past 4 nights that's slightly gotten people annoyed with me. A few nights ago, they sat me a table right before we closed, so I was the unlucky sap that had to stay there and wait for them to leave while everyone else got to go home. But what sucks is that the Hut Captains, Bussers, and Runners have to stay until that table leaves too, and I can't tip them out until I have all my tables closed and paid. So that wasn't cool, and they get really annoyed. But that's not the worst of it.

Last night they told me they were going to seat a party of 20 in my section. We have this "rule" at work that if you have a party of more than 11, you need to split it with another server. Well, no one likes doing that so I flipped a coin with the other server whose tables were taken for the big party. I won the toss and dived in. It was hectic. First off, not everyone was there when we began, so everyone slowly filtered eventually but all ordered at different times, so their food came out a little sporadically, which annoyed them, but it's their fault, honestly for doing that. On top of that, everyone wanted seperate bills, making it that much harder in the end. Also, when they got there, the downstairs kitchen closed shortly after, so all their food came out in the upstairs kitchen, meaning people had to run the food down the flight of stairs, and caused more annoyance. And to top it all off, they were needier than all hell!! I tipped the guy that helped me serve the table, and gave the runners some extra cash too. It was an alright night, just... I got out of there two hours later than I should have...

So that's just some of thise weekend's highlights. School starts in two weeks for me, so I have to start getting ready for that. Let's see... what else... Annie's been great too, I just thought I'd throw that in, I'm so glad I have her in my life. I can so see us living a happy life in the near and distant future, and that makes me happy!

the club, rfc moment
