State of the Husky

Ugh, dusty in here... Doesn't anyone post anything up in here anymo-- ... oh.

Hi everyone! Long time no post! Perfectly good reason for that though... just really nothing too noteworthy happening that I needed to be OMGMUSTPOST about. But a few things here and there that are probably worth mentioning in the past month. Let's get started shall we?

Social Husky is Social
So, ever since I've had the joys of working a "normal" work schedule, my weekends have become times of enjoyment as opposed to times of "sorry, I can't come to your awesome party because I have to work." I swear I've gone to more social outings in the past month than I have in the past year. I mean, I've been hanging out with some nice people that I met at the last con that I went to, mostly on Wednesday nights when Dave & Busters is having their 1/2 price days. I went to a BBQ at Omi's house a few weeks ago (and probably had a BIT too much to drink that night... oye... that's a story for another day), and actually being able to go to my parent's outings and spend time with Annie while we're both off. It's been wonderful!

Honestly, I feel like I'm becoming a MUCH sociable person now. Not as reserved or prone to hang around by myself at outings. I actually feel better about myself as a person, too. More confident, more happy, more ... libido? *laughs* Oh yes, Annie's been quite happy with me being in a chipper mood more often. heh.... Speaking of Annie...

VEGAS, BABY!
Yup! It's that time of the year again, where Annie and I take one of our two yearly trips out to Sin City to enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and empty wallets! This time, we're spending three nights there, instead of the usual two. We'll be leaving here Thursday and getting back Sunday, so basically two full days where we can really take in everything. This time around though, I would really like to make a trip to see downtown, seeing that I've still never been there. I'm sure there's really nothing TOO special about it, but it's just one of those things that you have to do ... just to be a tourist. Not only that though, one of the highlights of this trip is that we'll be seeing Penn & Teller perform at the Rio! I love Penn & Teller, and seeing them in person is gonna be a treat. And you know what would make this trip even better? Winning money. Plain and simple. I think I'm gonna put it all on red...

Getting Ink
Whoa, wait... WHAT?! Yeah... I've thought about it for a little while now, and I think I'm finally comfortable with the idea of getting a tattoo. Nothing too intricate or flashy, just something that isn't embarrassing or something that I wouldn't be able to show the family if it ever came up. Actually, what I want is a paw print that looks like it's frozen or made out of ice. I mean, it kinda fits, right!? I'm trying to find someone to design it for me, and there's a journal up on my FA page regarding it, along with an example of what I want. Originally, I wanted it on my upper arm, but Annie thinks that I'm not the kind of person to get a tat on my arm. She says that the leg or chest would be more fitting. So now I'm in a bit of a pickle. I want it somewhere that isn't visible in normal situations, but can be seen if I want it to be. So, I'm not sure! Besides, the person that we wanted to do it is no longer working at the shop that we were going to go to, so we have to come up with some other course of action to have said ink done! But again, if anyone out there is willing to help design it, I'd be forever grateful for your time and talent. As a matter of fact, I'll pay the person that designs the design I ultimately use. Just hit me up and we can talk about it.

That's about all the news that's noteworthy for now. I'll try and be more consistent with my updates! Even if nothing is going on.
