A short rambling

So, I'm here in AZ, after a semi-decent drive here.

Primarily I'm here to visit tally_kat, among getting some other minor things done here for my mother-in-law as she moves stuff between this house and the one back home. It's also some time to be away from work and kinda reset myself after what's been an interesting few weeks.

So, anywho, a few things that I want to get off my chest before I slack off and forget to do it, which simply entails me to just go to sleep...

First off, I really need to throw a shoutout to my wife, beetlejuice. She has been incredibly awesome to me the past few months and I really want to make sure that she knows that I really appreciate her. I mean, even for my little road trip, she put together a few mix CDs for me to listen to while I was driving here. So far I was only able to listen to one called "The 'B' list", which mostly featured songs from the Beatles. But the last few tracks weren't so much Beatles related, but kinda mushy, yet very good love songs, and those kinda hit home on the way here. Not only that, but she makes me lunch for work, cleans the house, and many other things that I really shouldn't take for granted. I'm glad to have her in my life.

Second, there's been an addition to our household as well. A new puppy. His name is Kuma, and we think he's a husky (or other sled dog) and lab mix. He's all white and is quite the chewer. To make a long story short, he was found by a deputy at work while making an arrest at a crack-head's house. The poor thing was starved and was actually gnawing on hypodermic needles (that most likely contained heroin). Realizing that the poor guy was just going to be shipped off to the pound, I decided to bring him home. He is a handful, but is the cutest little ball of fluff. The issue is going to be whether or not he's going to become a permanent resident at our home (our other dog, Penny, gets along with him). If he for some reason doesn't stay, I think it's safe to say that we have a few back up plans to make sure that he goes to a happy home. But in the meantime, he's living comfortably at our place.

Tomorrow and the next day are going to be fun days. I should probably head to bed and get myself ready for the mayhem that is going to ensue...
