Jury whaaa?
It seems that I've been silent for a bit too long lately and I'm assuming that an update is in order.
Unfortunately, there really hasn't been much to speak or post about in the past few weeks, but today is kinda special in a couple of ways. First off, even though I've never been a fan myself, happy Star Wars day! Even though Star Wars didn't really kick off until late May, today is a grazy geek day, simply because of the seemingly overused phrase that is used today: "May the fourth be with you!" Yeah I know...
In other news, I'm here in Downtown Los Angeles doing my civil duty and reported for jury service. So far, I've been here for just over 5 hours and have not been called to a panel yet, and two have been called already. I feel the sense of impending doom looming overhead as the jury pool keeps getting smaller and smaller. But let's hope that I'm not called for the rest of the day, and I can forget about this stuff for at least the next year.
Other than that, nothing much else to speak of. Annie is still "recovering" from what appears to be a severe case of sciatica. I say "recovering" because despite lots of pills and therapy visits, nothing seems to help her, and it's probably been about a month since the original injury. So she can't sleep well because the pain comes when she lies down, and it's just making daily life a bit frustrating for her as well. The only slight plus is that she is on disability now, so we have some kind of monetary relief as she gets better.
Oh, and for those who haven't seen it yet, I'll post up a great video of our dog here for your viewing pleasure... trust me, its pretty darn funny.
