The weekend and a year older
Later this afternoon I'll be on my way with Ember to Sheffield to spend tomorrow with Furble/Cali, Exile and Avalanche for my 26th Birthday :). It promises to be a fun day and it has been a long long time since last spending a Birthday of mine in the company of friends.
I'm not the kind of guy who frowns upon getting older either, I actually enjoy it and looking back on interesting years to muse over what has taken place in my life - and this last year... oh boy, it's been one heck of a ride.
I have already received two birthday cards in the mail this morning, a rather cheeky offering from my Dad with a rather sweet and heart-warming message inside :).
And one that took me completely by surprise from
mylo_the_husky (I'm assuming you poked Shay for my address? You sneaky little husky you! hehe). It was a beautiful Hallmark card with Labrador puppies, but the real gem was inside in the shape of a photo fixed to the card of Ben, Mylo's own Labrador doggie and again a very lovely message. Thank you so much Mylo it has really made my morning to an already promising weekend :) *hugs tightly*

Also a pre-emptive Birthday greeting for
mustan! As the horse has the unfortunate honour of sharing the very same Birthday as my own *chuckles*. So when you're offering me my Birthday greetings tomorrow spare a thought for the equine one as he also turns the mature age of 18! :)
