If you don't mind, I would like to hear about the holidays you celebrate in different worlds, or even different places in the same world.

[this is inspired by a conversation she had with Storm the other day]

In Imil, it is traditional to do something for the longest night of the winter. It is not a large celebration - Imil is, I have learned, a small ( Read more... )

Well, there's Halloween coming up. Most people dress up and either go to parties or door-to-door to get free candy. Usually kids are the ones who go trick-or-treating.

I've actually been to a world centered around Halloween.

Christmas is in the winter. People celebrate by getting gifts for friends and family. Sometimes they go to parties or eat a huge dinner. Oh, and some people think this guy named Santa Claus brings presents to everyone who's been good that year.

[Which he still finds a little hard to believe.]

There are others, but those are the first two that come to mind.

That's right. Everybody from that world resembles some Halloween monster, and they're not just costumes, either.

[Granted, Riku's main exposure was Oogie Boogie and his romp through the town in Castle Oblivion, where he mostly just encountered spooky Heartless.]

Oh, they talk alright. There aren't regular humans there.

Most of the worlds I've seen have more to them, anyway. Princesses, talking puppets, you name it.

That's right. At least five, probably closer to ten.

It's not just me, either. The others from my 'universe' have done it, too. At least the ones around here.

Ten! That seems like so many.

Yeah, just seeing one was a huge deal at first. Thing is, if all the stars in the sky are other worlds, ten's nothing compared to what else is out there.
