Several people have mentioned the high possibility of coming in contact with something - plant or animal - that is venomous, during this...draft. I believe that, like myself, there are several people here with the ability to call on...magic of some sort, in order to dissipate the poison or provide an antidote.

I would like to know who those people

... I am able to do so as well. However, we must keep in mind that not everything can be cured by that means.

I thought that perhaps, similar abilities from different worlds might be able to cure different things.

It's a possibility. We just have to keep in mind that not everything will respond to magic... hence keeping in mind the types of poisons and remedies available.

The locations we were sent to had been different before, and we've had a different source providing us those details.

Even so, it's... war. It's not pretty.

Perhaps "complete" isn't the right word, but more detailed, yes. And we were recalled to hotel-like rooms at night, as opposed to roughing it in the wilderness. The military intends to make their point.

...To make their point that in addition to fighting on their side, we must also fight for basic survival?

What are they trying to teach us, then?

They probably think we get treated too well, as opposed to their other forces. [And a lot of other factors, but it's not really a good idea to debrief the new feather on them just yet. Especially over the network.] And to drive the point home about expecting changes to our situation, most likely.

They are making it difficult to feel prepared.

We'll have an opportunity for requests, and to finalize our gear... but we need to make sure we know what we want before we get there. I doubt we'll get much time to work with.
