Yesterday was a very interesting day. Nothing bad… just interesting. Maybe if I explain a bit more it will help. The start of the day was not any different than any other day. I got up, went to work and planned on having a fairly relaxing day. I wanted it to be relaxing because I was leaving at 3 to go and officially file for my divorce with my ex-wife, and I wanted to be totally cool and calm to take care of that.
My work day was not relaxing at all. I will not bore you with what happened, but it was not easy, it was not fun and it was definitely not relaxing. I was able to escape at 3 and head up to Tim Horton’s to sit and wait for her to arrive. While there I started reading a book lent to me by a great friend. (You know who you are.) This book talks about the wilderness, survival and becoming one with nature. It was actually very insightful and helped me totally relax as my ex was over 40 minutes late. When she did show up I was totally relaxed and very happy.
The long drive to the court house I was able to think all about what I had just read (as we took separate cars) which made me even more relaxed and more centered. The signing went well and after a short conversation I was on my way back to Burlington to pick up Christine at the Go station.
The night was fantastic, Christine and I meet up with a couple of great friends, and we went to see Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Fabulous movie. Then went off to Demetre’s for dessert and chatting, which was also great. It really filled me up with a lot of happiness, and I would like to thank both those people (again you know who you are) for being such great people. It is really my pleasure to know you both and to call you both friends. Thank you for being who you are.
I would also like to say thank you, to Christine. A person who has always been there for me, and who I love with all my heart. You are the best. =)
At the end of this post I would like to quote something I found extremely inspiring in the book I commented on earlier. This section talks about letting go of time to become more relaxed when you are out in nature. Be that 10 minutes in a park or 3 days in a forest. I hope that maybe it will touch someone else out there as it did me. Enjoy,
