Let me count the ways...

To wit:
So these are my resolutions for New Years 2008.

1. I will not base the happiness and satisfaction of my life on a romantic relationship or lack thereof. Fail.
2. I will no longer hold myself responsible for my father's death. It wasn't my fault. I am NOT culpable. Pass.
3. I will not let past relationships and their outcomes dictate how I ( Read more... )

Dan,

get The Sedona Method book by Hale Dwoskin:

http://www.amazon.com/Sedona-Method-Happiness-Emotional-Well-Being/dp/0971933413/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211040327&sr=8-1

The Sedona Method is the only method in my life that has enabled me to achieve my goals and release my unwanted emotions. This method will astound you. You'll feel lighter, healthier, better, happier, joyful, and a whole lot of relief. Read AND apply the book; it's a very practical method. I'm sure it'll do you good. If you have any questions about the Sedona Method, just let me know; I've been working with it since 2006!

Oh, and I can give you some hints on why you didn't achieve your resolutions.

You have too many "I will NOT" statements up there. That's a guarantee for failure. Your mind thinks in pictures, and negates the words "can't", "not", "won't". Try this out: Don't think of a blue elephant.

What did you just do?

That's right; a picture of a blue elephant crossed your mind. Uh oh!

That's why the phrase "now don't you FORGET this" always makes you forget about things. Or "I will NOT live on autopilot" is picked up by the subconscious part of your mind as "I WILL live on autopilot". So get those "don'ts" out of the way and replace them with what you really want to focus on.

I hope that makes it clear for you. Focus on what you do want to achieve. But do it the Sedona way...it saves you all of your frustration, anxiety, worries and fear.

The best 12 bucks you can spend all year is on the Sedona Method book, if you invest the time into actually reading AND doing the exercises in the book.

Good luck,

Tom (from the Liberty VH forum).
