(no subject)
At this point, I've pretty much given up on LJ. There's a point where it just seems pointless to update because so much has happened.
Thanksgiving happens in a few days. Going to be another year stuck at Brandeis. No grandiose plans this year; probably just going to be me, two bottles of wine, and some video games. Enough people have offered up a place at their dinner table, but it just wouldn't be home. One day I'll have a family of my own and there will be enough people that we need three turkeys (two for me, one for them, duh).
Things otherwise have been amazing.
Went to a queer conference in Worcester a few weeks back. Met some amazing kids there; even ended up picking up a girlfriend. The conference was decent. There was a general lack of asking about pronouns, which was upsetting. There were a few workshops re: genderqueerness, which was amazing. I felt a bit at home, so that was nice.
The girlfriend. Uhhh... there's a history behind this one if ever there was one. She's pretty much amazing. We have good times together and she keeps me smiling.
Finals' time in a few weeks. Going to be hectic like woah. Can't wait until Dec. 20 when I get to escape to OH for a few days. Not going to be there for long, but long enough to matter.
