Agriphina like Agrippina like Nero's mother? I love, love, love the story of her and the poisons (curiosly enough a bedtime tale to me in my youth!)But do confirm, lest I be mistaken...
Happy sigh @ Napoleon and Josephine, the fish; tis a most brilliant idea. Did you ever see the Swatch watches, by the way? I can't seem to find it online, but it was this limited pair with Napoleon drawn on one and Josephine on the other; I had the Napoleon one for a season - apparently they were designed with the original purpose of his/her wedding gifts by the wily Swiss.
Ha @ Cagliostro, and reminding me of his fairly-ridiculous impersonation in The Affair of the Necklace; I love the name Alessandro, however, and I'd be up for naming a son assuch. Even Chagall is nice, but I'd save that (no reason why) for the fourth son of a large family; in other words, I think Chagall would have suited my younger brother.
As for tiny elephants, of course, though lately I've been partial to tiny kangaroo's as well. Still...if it was the size of a kitten, I think I'd prefer the tiny elephant any day.
I would probably name mine Hannibal (whose memory will soon be spoiled, apparently, with a film starring Vin Diesel - I'm sure he's spinning in his salt-strewn Carthaginian grave).
yes, agriphina, like agrippina, like nero's mother :) but alas, it is not my name, but i guess mine is fine. it is greek, anyway, helena. there is a german actress named grushenka stevens and i just really like that name. she was in mondsheintarif, a lovely film, in manner of lola rennt and goodbye, lenin!. germany has really been coming out with brillint films lately.
no, i have not heard of these watches, but am now really really hopng to stumble across them someday. oh sigh sigh. i love cagliostro - he is just so fascinating. i read a very entertaining biography last year and i think he was quite the genius. i love the mane alessandro, too.
i am getting a bit of a headache by all of these new films starring "hollywood heartthrobs" depicting the great heroes and historical figures. i half expect a fim called "napoleon" to come out on the big screen starring someone like...hmm...brad pitt? ech.
Aaack [thrilled exclamation at everything], yes!
