Uptown girl... she's been livin' in her uptown world *dance dance*
I have been procrastinating on my government review all day. I keep getting distracted! I think it might be because I KNOW just how EASY his tests are now. But still, it was so easy the first time because I studied for it. *sighs* I'm going to see if Matt will quiz me over it when he gets home. Hopefully we'll be able to go grocery shopping as well, because damn we need more food. I need to lay off the milk as well. I know it "does a body good"™ and everything, but I go through about 2 gallons a week. And yes, it's mainly me.
I've also been distracted with the Drag show I'm going to be in. I'm doing it with GLAD to raise money for something or other... For a while, I was slightly worried because I had no idea how I was going to dress or what song I was going to lip sync to. Then Jeff mentioned that I should dress as a mechanic... then LINDSEY mentioned I should have a wrench to go along with said mechanic uniform.
So, Okay.. good. I have an outfit.. but to what song?
I brought all of this up with Lucas, and expressed my slight anxiousness at not having a song yet. I desecribed what I would wear, and what I would have on the stage with me, and almost instantly he says " Why dont you do it to "Uptown Girl" ?"
Just how do you do it, Lucas?
So I get ahold of the song, and he sends me the music video- and OMG it's PERFECT!!! The video consists of a bunch of mechanics dancing around!! Who knew Luke was so good at picking out Drag King songs!!?!?!? :D I need back up dancers. Backup Kings to be specific, and one Queen. I want her to be ugly- obvious five oclock shadow, lop-sided boobs, the works. Sue Slakter offered to be a back up drag King without me asking. God I love that girl :P She is definately a prime candidate for this whole ordeal. In fact, she was the first person I thought of who could possibly help me out- and actually WANT to help me out. Possible problem though? She might be engaged in her play (The Skriker) while the show is going on. Sue Slakter is still the shit though. I love how she WANTED to help me out ^___^ I heart Sue Slakter! Yay! She also gave me the PERFECT idea to make a five oclock shadow!! Oh yes. There will be blood. I mean, pictures.

Not sure why I'm sharing this, but I'm wearing a silver ring that I bought at James Avery last year during Christmas with Matt and Briana. It's pretty ^_^ I've decided that I'm going to wear it more often. Simple yet elegant. Doesnt draw too much attention, but can catch the eye none-the-less. *holds hand out to admire it* ^_^ It's not often that I wear jewelry- so I guess this is kind of a big thing for me.. ^_^ If I know me, it wont be on by the end of the week *laughs* Such is me :P
