I auditioned for a dinner theatre in Ohio today. They are doing Beauty and the Beast this summer. It went rather well. They asked me to come back tomorrow to dance and read sides and stuff. Seriously I wish I could sing the way I do in auditions all the time. I walked in started singing (If I can't Love Her), and was a little worried about the last note, because it has been shakey with my voice teacher. Before I knew it I was to the end of the song and held out the note for what seemed like at least bars. It felt amazing. I actually felt like it was possibly impressive, which is cool, because I had no intention to be impressive, I just wanted to sound good and act well. We shall see what happens tomorrow. The nice thing is that it IS Beauty and the Beast, and I DO know that show inside and out, so if they have me read for the Beast I am good and if they have me read for Gaston, even better. So yeah that was exciting. The only unfortunate thing is that once this process is over I will have missed three classes. My parents don't seem to care so I decided I don't either.
