Student activism!

Someone in the quad today: "Today is the last day to register to vote! If you want to be able to bitch and complain, register now!"

Hah. Sweet. I went home for the weekend, so I have my ballot and shall be filling it out shortly. I'm the first person in my family to vote in a United States election, how awesome is that?

Anyway, birthday last week was kind of suck, but that's just because it fell on a Wednesday. On THURSDAY however, Evelyn and I went to Ben and Jerry's, not Coldstone like we had planned because there was a Mariachi Band waiting for us at B&J. Yeah. Uh huh.

Chris was the trumpet player and apparently Christina was the drummer. I didn't think mariachi bands had drummers, but what do I know?

Had some funtimes using public transportation to get home on Friday, including a bus, a 3 hour train ride, and 3 light rail trams because I got on the right one going the wrong way. An old hispanic guy needed my help getting a ticket, and we got it figured out, but I seriously need to learn basic Spanish if I want to teach in California. I felt so useless. D:

Ross and Dad were gone all weekend at a boy scout campout, so Mum and I just chilled. Actually, Mum chilled, I wrote papers. Blargh. But I'm finished now! And I hung out at the studio ((<3)) with, among others, Lily the five year-old kissing monster. Then, haha, I went to my first high school homecoming in my sophomore year of college. Lame? Pathetic? I THINK NOT. I looked aa-maaazing, and had beaucoup de fun with my buddies. Better than the dance was Denny's afterwards, though. I just love hanging out with them, and I miss them like crazy.

Papers are almost done for the week, but now I have a bucketload of reading to do. Hoo-rah.
