Turbulance

This morning I woke early and made blueberry muffins the very first thing...even before coffee. When the muffins were done, I sat outside in the breeze and looked out over the canal. The breeze was stronger than it was last night. Just as I was getting too chilled to remain, a sparrow landed on an extended tree limb that reached over the canal almost to the trail on the opposite side. Still bare from the winter The limb shook incessantly in the breeze. The sparrow rose and fell with the wind and limb, nary a flinch. After a moment the branch was still. The sparrow flew away.
