Lulu's summer events

May 20, 2010 19:19

Things I must write down or else I will forget and be incredibly sad and utterly inconsolable:

Doors Open Ottawa: June 5 & 6
Fringe Festival: June 17-27
Pop Life exhibit at NAG: June 11- Sept 19
HOPE Beach Volleyball: July 10 (might have to miss this one due to being over a transition weekend between training in London and Tyler's cottage in god-knows-where Northern Ontario)
Casino du Lac Leamy Sound of Light: Aug. 7-21 (grande finale on the 21st, Sat.)

Movies I want to see this summer:

The Adjustment Bureau -- What do you know, it's based on a Phillip K. Dick short story

Scott Pilgrim vs the World -- I am forever going to be mistakenly referring to this movie as "Sean Pilgrim vs the World" due to knowing a Sean Pilgrim. Loving the slightly different side of Michael Cera and the OTT comickiness.

Splice -- Actually, can't decide whether I want to see this. But Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley... promising.

The A-Team -- Not that I'm old enough to have watched this as a kid, but looks like a good action movie in any case.

Knight and Day -- YES. THIS LOOKS SEXY.

I Love You Phillip Morris -- I admit, what first drew me to look into the trailer was the association with cigarettes. But it looks freaking ADORABLE. Jim Carey and Ewan MacGregor: who would've ever thunkit?

Inception -- Ooh yeah. I enjoy Leo, and am a sucker for this kind of sci-fi.

Salt -- Again, not sure if I really want to see this. The trailer was kind of contrived and didn't really hook me. I just think there will be a hell of a lot of hype around it because it's Angie J, and I will want to see it for the same reason I wanted to see Avatar despite the very serious risk that I will hate it as much as I hated Avatar.

Wall Street 2 -- OMG YES.

Tron 2 -- Okay, I realize we are definitely no longer in summer. Doesn't matter. I am ready for this shit to blow my mind.
