Whether you fall means nothing at all, it's whether you get up...

So on top of not getting paid for last week AND spending $250 on a print order, my cell-phone bill is absolutely outrageous this month. Since we don't have phones at work, any call I have to make has to be made from my personal cell-phone. Which also means that...attorneys are liable to call said-cellphone at pretty much any and all hours. I haven't answered my cell-phone so politely...well...ever.

I will just be very, very glad when we are up and running again. Also, when we have chairs that don't require me to have a chiropractic visit after sitting in them all day. I'm not even old and I have to stand up at minimum ten times a day just to pop my back.

I was reading Poets and Writer's magazine tonight and found a low residency Creative Writing MFA program at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison. The program isn't hugely expensive and I could keep my full-time job and finish my degree at the same time. And as much as I like my coworkers and my paycheck, I really don't want to be a pre-litigation finance specialist all my life.

With everything going on, it completely slipped my mind that Aja and I are going to her parent's house in Connecticut this weekend. So yes, I completely suck as a friend, but maybe it will be good to get a break from the monotony of New Jersey for a bit.

And if you haven't heard her, Toshi Reagon is sort of amazing. I've been in a blues mood lately and she is just hitting the spot.

aja, work, school, music
