School hadn’t allowed for the pair to meet much over the last few weeks. Midterms were upon them, with several exams a week, and term papers to turn in, and that simply didn’t allow for boyfriend time. Gabriel didn’t mind as much. He missed him, of course, and missed the time they spent together, but with all the schoolwork he was buried under, he ( Read more... )

Leonard would find it safe to say the last few weeks had sucked. He had more work than he cared to even think of, whilst he was busy at the clinic. He missed Joanna, finding it near impossible to communicate with her as the only hours he had free, were those he was supposed to use for sleeping. He missed Gabriel, too. He had never expected to fall in love with him, never mind miss him so much when they were apart. For all his grumping, Gabriel made him happy. He was sure Jim missed Gabriel just as much, if only for the fact being apart made Leonard snappier than usual.

He finished up with his patient and, needing to complete some paperwork before he could return to his dorm, he made his way to his office.

And stopped dead in his tracks as he saw Gabriel.

"Sure hope those feet ain't on my desk," he spoke up, closing the door behind him.

"Don't you think I know better than that by now?" Gabriel replied smoothly as he got up from the chair, and though he only managed to remain cool and suave for a moment, it was a moment longer than he had been expecting before he quickly moved forward and wrapped his arms tightly around him - clinging in a way.

"Hi," he mumbled sheepishly as he pulled back, and sheepish words were a they often were - accompanied by a sheepish smile. "I just got done with my...everything."

"I'm glad you do," he replied. He removed the white coat he often wore on shift, hung it up...

...and found a Gabriel attached to him like a limpet. He smiled though, his own arms snaking around Gabriel to hold him close. He had missed the feel of his warm body against his own; even in innocent situations like this. Dropping a kiss into his hair, Leo returned his smile. "Hey yourself."

At least he's a pretty limpet, and the arms around him just made it so that he wouldn't be letting go any time soon, not that he wanted to go.

He inhaled deeply, and then let out a soft sigh - that followed by an innocent nuzzle before he straightened himself up again.

"I was thinking that maybe we could do lunch? If you have the time, obviously...but I thought that I should come check, either way."

"I have time," he replied, perhaps a little hastily. Truthfully, he didn't have loads of time, but it was still time he wanted to spend with his boyfriend.

"Well, only if you're sure, Leo. I mean...you're a doctor. You're busy," Gabriel said and bit his lip before he slowly peeled himself off him; though his hand moved to tightly clutch his as he pulled him towards the door. "We'll have a quick lunch, and then I can leave you alone again. But now you can come sleep in my dorm again..."

"I want to spend some time with you, Gabriel," he replied, his tone leaving there no room for argument. Dinner was perfect. "I can? Good."

"If you're sure," Gabriel said, and smiled, and then pulled him closer so he could finally give him a long, deep kiss - the sort that he had been missing and longing for the whole time he was gone.

"Of course. Jackson can go stay with others now, or just stay when we're there - he really doesn't mind as long as we're not doing stuff... And I don't have to have my intense studying, so I don't see why not."

"Positive," he replied. But before he could say anything else, they were kissing, and he was incredibly thankful for it. He almost purred into the kiss, so pleased to be doing so again after so long apart.

"I almost want to just take you back to my dorm now," Gabriel murmured against his lips, accompanied by a soft laugh as he pulled back, and started to pull him off again towards the outdoors. "Jackson's at a bar, and all, so it's damn tempting. But...you want lunch. Right?"

"Much as I'd love to, I ain't eaten all day," he replied, dutifully moving with him, hand gripping Gabriel's tightly.

"We have all the time in the world for that," Gabriel said and nodded, not only to reassure the other, but himself as well as he started to lead the way back to the campus cafeteria. Despite it being better, tastier, to venture off campus, he figured that they could save that for later - for now they could at least get something quick.

"You need to take better care of yourself, you know. If you don't start, I'm going to start showing up after my first class is over every day with a mid-morning snack for you."

"We do," he replied, almost hopefully. Because, as typical a man as it made him, now he was back used to regular sex, he was missing that. He sure as hell hoped they had a good few hours spare at the same time as each other soon.

"Maybe that's what I'd like," he countered with a slight smirk.

Gabriel smiled at him and moved so that he was in front of him, arms going up around his neck and he pulled him close, all the while continuing to walk backwards. He had enough sense in him to step carefully, after all, so he figured he might as well be as close to the other as he could. "Do you want to stay over tonight?" he asked, voice dropping slightly. "Jackson will be out, and I'll be all by my lonesome with nothing to do..."

He had to admit that he missed the sex too, so being able to be close to Leo in public the way he was in that moment sent ripples of pleasure through him.

"Oh really? Well I guess I'll have to. I'll even cut your sandwiches into dinosaurs - no crusts."

He rested one of his hands on Gabriel's waist, a little grin crossing his features as he walked with his boyfriend. The very idea of getting to stay over again just excited him. "I sure do," he replied, no hesitation, no need to think it over.

"Oh, but I like the crusts. Growing boys like me need their crusts you know."

"Good. I...missed you. I'm sure you could write off my lack of sleep as stress of exams, but I'm pretty sure that I couldn't sleep because I didn't have you there with me." Sure, it was cheesy, but sometimes cheese was needed. "So Jim won't miss you?"

He laughed at that, and then leaned in for another kiss, nipping his lower lip before finally pulling away again so they could walk normally, hand in hand the short distance to the cafeteria. "Well - I'll give you the crusts on the side, then. You need to grow big and strong so you can last long. Running and all that."
