Submissions for Phoenix Rising

Sep 20, 2006 17:32

Our staff and a few volunteers scoured their address books--and we also received some recommendations from a few of you--and this morning, we e-mailed out some informational notes about submitting proposals for Phoenix Rising's programming since the November 1 deadline will be here before you can blink. That said, like any other group, we don't know about every nook and cranny in the fandom. We don't know every fan with a fascinating theory, or every fanfic writer who is a perennial favorite (or who is breaking new ground). We don't have a fandom directory in our own inboxes! If there's someone that you'd really like to nudge about submitting a proposal, please consider writing to them through our Tell a Friend feature with a few words of encouragement, or sending us a name/pseudonym and e-mail at programming@thephoenixrises.org, and we'll do it for you.

Also, in case you missed it, there's a growing discussion on our last post here about programming ideas up for adoption.

Best of luck with your proposals--we look forward to receiving them!

Hallie

A quick edit: It looks like some of our letters are still queued--or queing and on their way out--but we hope to have them out to those people who have already been recommended and who have not already submitted shortly.
