Mass Effect silliness
Backstory: my friend at work is a big Legion fan. He was worrying if Legion will be in ME3 at all. So I sent him
in an e-mail with subject line "Is is a rollercoaster...?".
In reply I got a complete side quest for ME3. It goes like this:
Shepard gets intel about „Baby Reaper” (B.R.) being seen in an amusement park. He decides to send a team to check it (can’t go himself, because he’s busy fighting the rest of Reaper’s family) - Liara and Garrus are to play B.R.’s parents and Legion is supposed to be a friend of the family.
When they get to the amusement part, it turns out that the only way to get to the fallen B.R, is to ride a rollercoaster. Despite Garrus having really bad feelings (he did some calibrations and got divided by zero error) they enter the train… Then the Harbinger shows up and with his usual “Assuming direct control” takes over the rollercoaster, folding the lines into Möbius strip, from which you can’t escape.
Shepard learns of the team’s fate and hurries to the rescue. After fighting a horde of enemies, he uses OmniTorch to correct the lines [Spoiler: one of the specializations in ME3 will be Welding] and frees Liara, Garrus and Legion from the rollercoaster.
The whole mission ends up with Shepard stating “I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite rollercoaster” because [Spoiler: After finishing the game, you can return to this amusement park and ride it. Playing Shepard in multiplayer will get you a discount].
