Yeesh its been a long time since I updated. I'll try to make the past month as short as possible. Here it goes.
CIY WAS AMAZING! It was the coolest thing I have ever been to. There were so many great speakers and classes and sessions and worship songs and everything! There is no possible way that I could fit all of it into one little journal entry, so here's some of the major points.
The worship band was awesome. It was the Aaron Pelsue band, and they did songs that we knew, and songs that they had written (which they have some that are really deep and so good). The band put it together so well and did different songs each day.
They did three general sessions on an afternoon of the week. They were True Lies with Phil Chalmers (that was kinda creepy ask me about it later), The Persecuted Church (that was really good), and CPR (theyre an improv group, like the guys from Whose Line, except they do clean stuff). All of it was awesome and anytime youd like to ask me about it I'd love to talk about it.
Oh yeah, and we went kayaking one afternoon. It rocked.
So then I had 2 nights in my own bed before packing up and leaving again for camp, which also rocked. Matt did the speaking at night(GO MATT) and did a really good job. and he used my grandma's pink umbrella as part of an illustration! yay! haha. Dave and Bonnie and the twins (ella and jane) came to visit and so did Pam (with her sister Nikki). It was so cool hanging out with them. We did all these awesome awesome awesome games. Misson Impossible, Staff Hunt, Lemonade Chug, Undawear Race, Pool Olympics, Leap Frog Challenge, and Synchronized swimming.
And might I say that team 6 is very proud of the award they got for synchronized swimming---most humorous! TOP SHELF! Afterward, Twinkie said 'I really liked team 6 synchronized swimming, you know. Cuz it was like the most ADD thing I've ever seen in my life...' Just to give ya'll a rundown--we had no music. We played off commercials. AND WE WORE FACE PAINT! haha.
Well, I'll be heading off to my room now to get my sleep in. Tomorrow Cam's taking me up to church for oceans 11. and i have no idea how im getting back! isnt that great?! haha. I'll figure something out.
