I know, I know, I’m horrible at updating this thing. I figure that everyone is already following me on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ that you all know what’s been going on with me. But for posterity’s sake, I’m posting today to fill you in on some of the exciting things I’ve got going on. October is going to be one crazy and wonderful month.
So, guess what? The sequel to Zeus, Inc. is now in the hands of my publisher! The Curse of Hekate furthers Alex Grosjean’s adventures and let me tell you, I think it’s even better than the first book. There’s a lot more action and a lot more adventure and even a little bit of world travel. What’s better than that? Be expecting me to make an announcement about a release date for that soon. I’m really excited to get that out to you all.
Next up is a Zeus, Inc. blog tour! The tour starts on October 6th and runs throughout the entirety of the week. I have some amazing blogs signed up and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll be doing a few guest posts, having a giveaway (a $25 Amazon gift card) and giving away advance beta copies of The Curse of Hekate. It’s sure to be a lot of fun for everyone involved.
On October 19 and 20th, I will be attending
Geek Girl Con. This will be my first GGC and I think I am really going to enjoy it. I will be cosplaying two costumes that weekend, so be looking out for Rose Tyler (Doctor Who) and Emma Swan (Once Upon A Time). Even better? I have Zeus, Inc. bookmarks! So if you want a bookmark, be sure to track me down. I’ll be on Twitter as much as possible, posting photos and letting you all know where I am. Before the con, I’ll be hanging out with a friend in Vancouver (potentially haunting television show sets) and afterwards, I’ll be playing tourist in Seattle.
Finally, I’ve made it to the second round of the Tales From The Lake short story competition that
Crystal Lake Publishing is sponsoring. I’ve just submitted my summary that will, hopefully, get me to the third round, and I’m working on polishing up the story. It’s a good one, too! If my story makes the cut, it will be published in an anthology. This is such a great opportunity and gives me a chance to do something a little different.
I was hoping to do
NaNoWriMo this year, but making it to the second round of the short story competition sort of threw a wrench in my plans. I do have an idea for a third Alex Grosjean story, but I’m still finishing up the first draft of the first book in The Book of Revelations. I suppose we’ll see how things progress.
