Dany Sandron & Andrew Tallon's Notre-Dame de Paris: Neuf Siècles d'Histoire is an excellent history of the cathedral, well-illustrated, especially with cross-section diagrams showing the phases of construction and restoration over the centuries. There is also a lot of useful supporting information, including a map of the diocese showing the boundary lines of the 3 Archidiaconates! There are illustrations of paintings, tombs & c, some of which relate to the 15C, and also the deterioration of the building in 19C and Hugo's role in rallying interest for its protection and restoration. All in all, an excellent read!
