Year in Review?
If I'm doing a year in review post, I think what best sums it up is "Please God, let 2008 be better than 2007. Please."
Really bad: Lost all childhood possessions and the single most comforting thing in my life, my cat Callie, in a housefire. Lost my partner, whom I still dearly love, due to life circumstances.
Really good: Was accepted and funded to all three grad schools; Chose Wash U; Attended Wash U; Had a fantastically wonderful first semester of graduate school. Discovered North MS Hill country blues music and attended lots of shows over the spring and summer months. Met the Uber Carnie. Danced with Chuck Berry.
The year so far: Friend troubles in StL; Going to Tanzania in May. Just bought the ticket. Yay Tanzania!
