Now, now. So Kara’s two inches shorter than Lee, does that make her ‘teensy’?
Heh heh... I figured I could get away with that because it was Sam's perspective and he is freakishly tall. ;)
< But I hope it’s okay if I continue to think that he (and Adama) will come around, though. ;)
Oh, if they don't both come around, I'll be heartbroken. I'm an inveterate multi-shipper (well, double-shipper) so that part's not crucial to me, but their friendship is one of my favorite parts of the show. And I really really want Adama to come around eventually too. *sniff* This is just my idea of one way he could react that would make sense to me that I wanted to explore. Like you said the writers have set up a lot of stuff about Lee's hatred of the Cylons and his atheism that it'll be interesting to watch him struggle with - I mean he basically has to alter his entire world-view to accept Kara again. And I really couldn't blame anyone for reacting that way - except Helo. If Helo joins the "airlock the toaster" brigade then we're done. ;)
But I'm glad that scene otherwise worked for you, because I really didn't want to do that thing I was complaining to Lyssie about in K/L fic, only to Lee. I mean Lee is being such a good guy here, trying to help Sam, (and he is just... not in the way he thinks, heh.)
I love the "ship of lights" specprimarily because it means that an angelic version of Saul Tigh helped raise Kara from the dead. Who would have called that in season one?
Thanks, I'm definitely going to apply to '03 fics. And thank you for the thoughtful feedback!
