I can't believe I started my third year of college yesterday. I seriously don't know where the summer went. I guess time flies when you're having fun--because even though I was working two jobs and running around like crazy, for the most part I had a lot of fun this summer. My work friends and I (one in particular) had a blast, even though I could have used earplugs to block out some of the stuff the guys talk about. As stressful as work can be, though, it's nowhere near as stressful as keeping everything straight in college, especially the ever-dreadful honors course. However, there are at least a couple of upsides to that class--I have friends in there, and at least one or two are perpetually confused by the class content, just like me. This class is also the second to last in the honors sequence. Just two more semesters and I'll be done with that part of college--and ready to focus solely on my major/minor/certificate.
Overall, I had a really good day yesterday, in spite of honors class leaving me shaking in my flip-flops. I got to see a lot of friends that I hadn't seen for a whole summer, and got to catch up with them. That was really fun--I missed being able to do that over the summer.
Today's the second day of classes, and so I get to start the other two courses. Plus, I get paid today, so I can buy some more books for school.
Other than that, the next big thing I'm looking forward to is my birthday and the preceding week--my three favorite shows return: Castle, NCIS, and The Mentalist; the third book in the Leviathan Trilogy, Goliath, comes out, and then that Saturday, September 24, is my birthday ^_^ I'll be 21, which is even harder to believe than the fact that I just started my third year of college.
I hope everyone has a great school year!
