Another Loss
My family friend and neighbor died this morning. Mr. Jack Montgomery
survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Montgomery
He was a parachutist during WWII
A few years back he suffered from a stroke, and it didn't help that after hurricane Charlie, half their house was missing a roof. They were soon after swindled out of $80,000 for a replacement roof by a fraudulent contractor. He basically put sheets of tin on their roof, which had to be replaced by another roof to meet code.
They had no children, so they didn't file anything. Not that it would help.
It's a shame.
I will remember him as the kindhearted, party spirit he was. They were the first couple to really befriend us in the neighborhood. I will pray for him, and Ms. Jane, and hopefully you all will too.
