sometimes there's an easy and obvious solution
guess who got sick again? me!
i took this as a sign that my body didn't like helping to orchestrate another round of cutbacks and layoffs (the third since september).
i also realized that everyone (especially my housemates and family) (and therapist) is really tired of hearing me complain about how 1. i don't like my job and 2. it's not worth all the stress that it creates in my life.
therefore i asked my boss to lay me off in five weeks if i haven't found a new job by then.
he agreed.
that same day, i found out i had wildly overestimated how much i'd need to pay in taxes, and that i'm getting one hell of a refund. voila! emergency savings.
my life is a million times happier than it was on thursday. still sick, but hopefully for the last time for awhile.
